This is a photo of my wood pieces for a stool from the Woodwork class. We had a choice of a side-table or a stool, but I decided to build a stool because I thought it’d be more useful since I already have enough tables. I started working on this project from the beginning of the semester and I am still currently working on this stool. At first, we started off with designing and learning about the basics for about 2 months then we started building around end of October. While I was preparing for the project, my main goal was to build useable and something that I’d be proud of, which I think I’ve accomplished so far.

From the left, it’s the design package, stool top, legs, and a rail.

Since from middle school, I enjoy working in the Woodwork class because we are able to build a useful item with our own ideas. I am proud of this project since this was all created and designed using my plans. As well as the amount of time I spent working on this surprises me.

While working on this project, I didn’t face any major problems or challenges. At first, I was slightly scared of using the new machines, although with my peers and teacher’s help, I was able to get comfortable very soon.

If I worked on the same project again in the future, I might make small minor changes to make adjustments with the process, or use a different design.
