a. In this assignment from Honours 9 English, I was asked to make a portfolio of the PowerPoint for our book club project. The book that we read was Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. With my partner, we made a detailed six-thousand-word portfolio about Vocabulary, Significant quotes, connections and more. We wrote meaningful quotes and also had useful definitions. I learned a lot from this project because it was my final project and also because it gave me a real taste of highschool and more formal writing which more complicated than my middle and primary school writing prompts.

b. This portfolio for my project made me proud because I had to collect a large number of sources in order to make a summarised biography and also to fact check my information in order to confirm that my sources were unbiased. Moreover, my whole biography was not rushed and was carefully checked through in order to fix grammar errors like consistency throughout tense and other errors like punctuation and capitalization. Furthermore, There were many connections that directly relate to me and my family first hand, which I think is more meaningful to me since it shares my point of view on certain aspects. Lastly, I am proud of the project because I and my partner got a very good mark on both the PowerPoint and the portfolio and the teacher of the class even requested us to download and give her a copy of our portfolio for future references to her future classes.

c. The primary challenge of this assignment was the time limit, as we had just half a week to do the whole document and I and my partner have often spent more than seven hours a day on discord discussing the layout, information, and style of the portfolio. Moreover, we also had to practice and revise our PowerPoint, as that was also crucial to our final grade. A secondary challenge that I faced was the fact that the book was somewhat disliked among the science fiction community and in some school districts, banned making it hard to find information like the author or extra questions relating to the novel.

d. If I would change my whole project, I would make my presentation more about the book itself instead of the eight connections we did on the PowerPoint. We made too many connections which practically limited our time even more on explaining the book itself. Although we met the criteria and the teacher gave me a very good mark, I personally thought that we had some unnecessary information thrown into the PowerPoint as the teacher almost stopped out presentation since we reached out time limit and almost got our points deducted for the grade as a whole(thankfully we were on the last slide so she let us carry on).
