Halloween Movie

I was the point person for this event where I coordinated a movie event in the library with board games on the side. At the start of the event, I made a rough business plan covering most of the details of the event. Then I perfected the template into the final plan which I posted as instruction for my group members on Teams. In the document, I assigned jobs with a chart for better organization and it ensured that everyone knew the task that they must complete. I also received multiple emails for clarity or information due to missing in-person meetings to which I responded with clear instructions. After the preparation, I talked to Mr. McMahon multiple times before school to confirm the details of the event. Besides contacting Mr. McMahon, I also contacted the leader of the Board Game Club for them to provide us with a more variety of games and also help with supervision. Lastly, on the day of the movie, I ensured the library was ready to go for the event at lunch during block 1. Overall, I learned and improved a tremendous amount as a leader through running this event.

Grade 9 Movie

I helped sold tickets for the event at lunch while advertising it similarly to the candy grams by working around the school and informing students about the event. During the event, I supervised the movies and had fun with grade 9s.

Pinetree 25th anniversary

I was partners with Paul Cho in Pinetree’s 25th-anniversary event where we ensured that both Mr. Lockwood’s and Ms. Chan’s rooms were maintained the exact same as they were before. We also communicated with graduates of Pinetree about their life right now to gain some insight into our possible experiences.

Meet the Teacher Night

I came early to help with setting up the tables and the classrooms to make sure the environment is ready for the parents. At the start of the event, I helped with attendance when the point people were busy with more important tasks. Later in the event, I gave multiple tours around the school to parents while providing them with details of their children’s classes.

Terry Fox Run

I participated in the Terry Fox Run by completing multiple tasks. I helped set up the stadium during lunch by transferring and carrying all the necessary tables and snacks to the track. I also encouraged students when they are crossing the finish line while handing them a snack. Lastly, I helped with clean-up by continuously searching for garbage during the run.
