Family & Friends

Goal 1: I would like to be more socially active between my friends through “hanging out” with them, or rather, plan events more often where my friends and I get to meet and have fun. This is a goal of mine that I would like to work towards for the next month because being with my friends makes me relax. Therefore, finding some time throughout my days to go hang out with friends where I don’t have to stress about work, would be very beneficial for my mental health going forward.

Goal 2: It is to my best interests to be able to spend some more quality time with my family. That is because as I grow older and start to get more assignments, with my parents other line of work starting later on,  we will begin to have less time to spend with one another. Therefore, through finishing my work quicker, I will have more time to spend with my family either playing games or watching a movie. I love and cherish my parents and the time we spend together, making as much quality time spent with family as possible, one of my goals I would like to accomplish by grade 10.

Goal 3: Even though I already have friends, I would like to meet new people and potentially make new friends. That is because I am now in a whole new community with many different classes separating my old friends and I. Therefore, getting to know more people and finding new friends would be a way to work around that problem and make it easier to get used to this school. I plan to make new friends by starting up conversations where I can hopefully bond with them through shared likes and dislikes .

Education

Goal 1: A school related goal I would like to achieve by grade 10 is to pass my Spanish class with flying colors, preparing myself as much as I can for the future grade classes. This is because doing good and perfecting your skills in the early years makes learning the harder stuff easier further down the line. This is a goal of mine because I plan to travel to many places -especially Spanish speaking countries- when I grow up and because Spanish is a widely spoken language like English, I might end up needing Spanish to find my way through things in a situation. Therefore, I plan to try my best to learn as much as I can in my Spanish class in school, and study the topic we are currently learning at least 30 minutes a day.

Goal 2: I would like to get better at math by grade 10, especially the word problems factor of math as they best relate to real world problems and the incorporation of math within them. This is a goal of mine because I would like to potentially pursue an accounting job in the future. I am going to try and improve as much as I can within this aspect of my education through practicing math, especially the more complicated word problems within the topics, at least 1 hour a day. I am taking this very seriously as this skill is needed to pursue the job I want in the future.

Goal 3: Another skill that I would like to get much better at by grade 10 is my time management. This is possibly one of the top 5 best skills to have in life in my opinion, because being able to manage your time is basically the same as being able to manage your life and not having to end up procrastinating most of your work just like I have been doing recently. I am going to try and get better at time management through dividing the time within my days into many different sections. Each section will have specific things needed to be done till I finish all of my tasks for the day and don’t have to end up procrastinating everything.

Health

Goal 1: I would like to start going to the gym again now that I have more time. This is so that I can improve my overall physical health and gain a noticeable amount of muscle mass by grade 10. I will make myself committed to going to the gym everyday from now on by buying the monthly membership of a gym. This makes it so that I cannot skip a day, because or else I would feel guilty for wasting money. Additionally, to seal the deal, the cancelation process would most likely be annoying so I probably wont even bother trying to cancel my membership and just continue to go.

Goal 2: Fixing my sleep schedule before the important years of life start to roll in is a goal of huge importance to me that I would like to accomplish by next month if possible. However, that is best-case scenario, but if that won’t work than by grade 10, because or else I am going to have a rough time keeping up with school if I do not get enough sleep. I will try to work towards fixing my sleep schedule by finishing my work earlier during the day so I do not have to start procrastinating everything at night till 2 am, which would also tie into improving my time management skills.

Goal 3: Because I am going to start hitting the gym again, I want to also develop a fully revised healthy meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner by grade 10 so I get enough carbs, protein and greens throughout my day. This will make it so that my body has enough nutrients to build muscle, which means the hours I put in the gym will not go to waste. I will do this through downloading an app that will track the amount of nutrients of what I eat everyday. This will let me know if a food is healthier or a better alternative of another, allowing me to slowly but surely make a list of the best possible foods for me to live a healthier life.
