INS 3, Lessons Learned From The Novel

Independent Novel Study Assignment #3

The lesson that should be learned from this novel…

The lessons in this story are to be taught not to Trisha, but to her neglectful mother's parenting. On Trisha's behalf, the idea of leaving the trail's pathway unsupervised, especially without a guardian's direct approval, is not entirely her fault. Trisha becoming lost is truthfully not her fault whatsoever, rather this is the fault of negligent treatment given by her mother. There should be a significant lesson learned when you, the parent of a child, are lacking to give your child momentary attention when she needs to pause to use the bathroom. No parent, in reality, should ever allow a small child to be left powerless, defenceless, and vulnerable in a situation such as this.
