Reflection 1 – My Goals for This Year

Family & Friends

Spend more time with family – Even though my family and I are all busy with school and work, I will put in effort in trying to spend more time with them. I think it is important to spend quality time with your family, even if you already see them everyday and might not have that much free time. I will do this by suggesting to do different activities on days when we are not busy.

Socialize with my classmates – Building connections with your peers is important, so I will try my best to socialize more. I will do this by participating in group activities and discussions during class. I could also put in effort in starting conversations and getting to know the people in my classes more.

Remember to talk to my friends & long distance family – Texting and calling my friends and long distance family is important to maintain the relationships. I will make sure to remember to talk to them more often, even if it is something as small as wishing them a good day.

 

Education

Use class time wisely – Most of the time I need to finish my work at home because I don’t finish it during class. I will try to be more focused during class time in order to get the assignments done in class.

Not procrastinate on doing my work – I often leave my work to do the day before the due date, which leads to the work piling up. I will put in effort in finishing the assignments days before the due date, so I don’t have to stress over it and rush to finish it.

Put more effort in my work – I think that aiming for Extending/Proficient+ marks on my assignments is important. This will encourage me to spend more time on my work and add extra details and information.

 

Health

Go outside during my free time – During my free time, I mostly stay indoors. Going outside for a walk would be much healthier and it would be a good habit to have. I will try to take a 30-minute walk at least once a week. If I get into that habit, I will start increasing the time or the number of days that I go on a walk per week.

Spend less time sitting – Sometimes I have backpains from sitting down the whole day. I will try to be more active and take breaks from sitting down. I can also try to find a place at home where I can work while standing up.

Drink more water – Drinking water is important for health, but I always forget about it. I will make sure to set reminders and drink at least one filled water bottle at home everyday.
