Pinetree WYNS Club

Currently, I am the vice president of Pinetree’s WYNS club. WYNS, or Wish Youth Network Society, raises money through fundraising and donates profit to local hospitals and hospices for improving patient care. I have been an executive of the club since grade 10, and will hopefully continue through grade 12 as well.

 Volunteering

I volunteer for clubs such as UNICEF at Pinetree and help raise money for charity. An example was their Trick-or-Treat fundraiser, which was a huge success in collecting donations from local neighbourhoods.

Non-Profit Organization SDC

I am currently a finance associate for the youth team of the Social Diversity for Children Foundation, or “SDC” for short. In this non-profit organization, we run events, support, and raise money for children with disabilities, and provide a supportive, healthy environment. Together, we work with other associates, collaborating on events, projects, and running fundraisers.

Pinetree Model United Nations Club

As of grade 11, I am the Secretary of the Pinetree Model United Nations club. It started last year when a group of Pinetree students and I went to 3 Model United Nations conferences. We debated with delegates on pressing global issues and learned important leadership skills in the process. This year, Anjali and Marianne made the club official. Collaboratively, we are organizing club affairs, conference attendance, mock debates, and more.
