MY PLAN FOR SCREEN TIME
My goals,
health: My health plan is to take at least 8,000 steps a day, and it also includes the fitness class i have 5 days a week for an hour and 30 minutes in school. walking to school takes 2,000 steps and walking back from school also takes 2,000 steps, but since i walk with some friends i walk to their homes with them and wait at the bus station which takes more steps, adding up to 6,000 steps (i will be planning further to get to 8,000 steps a day). I have planned on eating healthier, since I haven’t been lately. Also, on school breaks since I don’t do fitness, I will be setting my stepping goal to 10,000 steps a day, and going to the park to play some volleyball with some friends.
Education: My education plan is to take 3-4 hours of my time after school everyday to study, and do my assignments. My teachers teach a new thing everyday, so I have planned on reviewing the things I’ve learnt on that day and try and understand it fully, and if i needed any help I’d ask my dad. After reviewing my lessons I will take a 20-30 minute break, and start my assignment after. (I have been successfully going as this plan so far)
Social Bonds: My social bonds plan in a week would be to put 3-5 hours. Into my social bonds out of school. Studying/talking with friends and hanging out with them, and meeting new people.
Stopping goals,
school: At school some stopping rules I’ll be using would be to put my phone out of reach, like shutting it off completely and putting it inside my bag, if i had little time to place it in my locker during class exchanges. Another stopping cue I will be using would be to put my phone on airplane mode so that I don’t get distracted by a notification or as i said to shut it off completely.
home: At home a stopping rule i will be using to not overuse my electronics would be to set a screen time limit on the apps i use the most to remind me to go do something productive, but as we all know we ignore it most of the times, so, another rule I’ll be using is to DELETE that app for a whole week, and put a screen time limit on all the other apps, and yes i have done this a thousand times before and will be continuing. Very affective. I usually read books on my phone before bed, but from now on I’ll be switching to physical books to not get distracted on it after I’m done reading the amount I intended on reading plus reading on your phone at night in the dark is not healthy for the eyes. 🕒
