December 5

November event

I assisted with the Parent-Teacher Conference by supporting teachers in planning and conducting the event. My responsibility was to help organize materials, guide parents to the right rooms, and make the event a success. I also helped coordinate with teachers and parents to ensure everyone was on the same page regarding schedules and expectations. My focus was on Communication, which is also aligned with course goals such as effective communication, listening, and teamwork. I helped prepare information materials for parents before the event and ensured that all teachers had what they required for their meetings. During the event, I welcomed parents upon arrival, helped guide them to the correct classrooms, and ensured meetings ran according to schedule. I was also a point of contact for parents with questions, providing simple and helpful explanations. After the event, I helped clean up and participated in a debrief meeting with the conference team to assess the event’s success and determine areas to improve for future conferences. As evidence, I simply explained the schedule and room instructions to parents, making them feel welcome and in the know. I also assisted teachers by maintaining lines of communication so that their meetings would proceed well. Lastly, I listened attentively to concerns from parents and responded with helpful information, showing my ability to vary the mode of communication according to context.
