When hoping to become a more successful person in various perspectives of life, one usually aims to reach their personal goals, there must be an organized and clear vision for them followed by actions. As for me, I would like to accomplish the goals that I set to myself this school year.


Family and Friends:

  1. I believe when as people grow up, they mostly become a little less closer to their family naturally. My first goal to have with my family is to spend more quality time together by the next month. I would like to grow a little more closer with my family to understand and enjoy our time together. I am going to achieve this by talking with them more often and inviting my family members to various activities through this month, doing things such as going for a walk with my parents or asking my brother to go somewhere together could help me advance for my goal.
  2. Demonstrating appreciation to friends is something that people usually forget. For my second goal, I would like to show my care to my friends by doing small acts of kindness for them. Some examples can be as simple as writing a letter to my friends expressing my gratitude towards them or helping them with small tasks throughout their day. I would be achieving this by the end of this semester.
  3. An important aspect when thinking about family and friends are the people that were closest to you before. My third my goal is to reconnect with old friends and family that i haven’t talked to in a period of time. My plan of action is reaching out to them with simple messages, calls, letters, or other methods of communication. I am focusing to achieve this by next year since it takes time to build up courage for reconnection.


Education:

  1. When concentrating on school work, there are times where I usually get distracted by doing other things outside of the task provided, this usually happens at home when doing homework, or at class time. My goal is to start focusing better at times like this. I want to start achieving this by the next month. My plan is to try and quit all distractions such as putting my phone far away from my workplace and if I am at class I would like to try and listen to the teacher more concentrated.
  2. By the next semester, my second goal is to become more organized by balancing school and my personal life. There are times where I don’t keep the balance and forget to do certain things for both perspectives in my life. I wish to reach this goal by using more organizing tools, as an example, calendars, apps, planners, etc. for becoming a more organized person.
  3. Lastly, my third goal is to improve on handing on things in time, for example, homework, projects, or just schoolwork in general. Even if I finish my assignments, I sometimes forget to turn them in. I am planning on growing in this aspect by using my last goal, becoming more organized. Putting things including reminders, post it notes, calendars, and more to achieve it this year.

 

Health:

  1. For making progress in my personal life, a goal that I would like to try for my health is knowing how to balance stress better. I plan doing this using different methods such as journaling, hanging out with friends, meditation, and more. I would like to know how to manage stress in a more healthier way to improve my health by the next semester to have more confidence in school when facing a stressful situation.
  2. A goal that I have had in mind for the past weeks that I would like to do, is practicing a new hobby or activity for at least 20 minutes each day. For example, doing crochet everyday and making space for it could help my health and focus. I think that trying this helps me improve as a person and is also interesting and fun. I am going to complete this goal by the next month or two.
  3. Controlling screen time is important to any person no matter the age or time, I feel like my screen time has been getting up recently and it distracts me for finishing my daily tasks and responsibilities. So, in my last goal I want to focus on my screen time by putting timers on my phones and managing my breaks in devices to reduce it to improve my overall health and concentration on school and outside of school.
