For my first Leadership event, I helped in the Stations department and was in charge of the chopsticks race section. Throughout the event, I tried to bring positivity and encouragement to the crowd, as well as to the contestants competing in the races. As a newcomer to helping events like these, I made my best effort to assist in setting up the games and ensure the races go smoothly. At first, I wasn’t sure how to fully engage in the event due to my lack of experience, but after the first race, I was more sure of myself to concentrate on my tasks. I have learnt from this experience to be more initiative in what I do, like actively participating in hyping the crowd, setting up stations, and etc. I hope to help further more in future events to contribute to Pinetree!
