Ai comparison between “lazy” prompt and “super” prompt

The challenge was to create compare two prompts from copilot and review both answers.

Lazy Prompt: “What will i learn in science”

Copilot listed 5 key points, and the answers it gave were very engaging with the emojis for each corresponding grade/level. I believe the answers it gave were pretty accurate too, but extremely generic. It keeps your retention high but fails to deliver useful information.

Super prompt: “I am starting grade 9 science, acting as a science tutor and explaining it to me dumbed down as a grade 9 beginner in the course. Give me several YouTube videos as well as in-depth explanations for each section in science. Provide easy examples”.

The super prompt was surprisingly extremely detailed and understanding. Each key point provided detailed examples and two videos from trusted science Youtubers like Wacky Science and the organic chemistry tutor. Every single unit was divided into info, examples, connections and videos all flowing naturally together.

The differences between the two prompts are extremely noticeable. The lazy prompt was very basic and ended up making a very general list of what I will learn. The emojis and fancy words were able to keep my retention high, but it failed to deliver useful information. (Like, I said.) The super prompt takes all the good aspects of the lazy prompt and combines them into a formatted chart for me to learn form. The emojis, fancy words and proper formatting gives a very easy and engaging learning experience.

Goals for Grade 9

My start at Pinetree has brought me many opportunities to improve myself. I will make 3 sections including: education, health, and family.

Section 1 Education Goals:

Goal 1: Developing strong study habits and time management.

Throughout my school education I’ve always struggled with studying and time management.  I often find myself procrastinating or leaving assignments until the very last minute to complete. To improve I want to create a consistent study schedule, using calendars, reminders and checklists.

Goal 2: Expanding writing skills.

Every summer, I tend to find that my writing skills decline. A specific part I’d say that worsens would be my ability to spell hard words and use stronger vocabulary.  I aim to strengthen my writing by reading harder texts before I sleep, switching up my vocabulary and to practice my writing skills when school ends.

Goal 3: Preparing for higher level math.

As I move forward in school, I want to get ready for more advanced subjects. To get ready for these challenges I need to focus on the math I’m learning and making sure I understand the material.

Section 2 Health

Goal 1: Getting more sleep.

Sleep is important for my health and brain. I want to stick to a regular sleep schedule and make sure I get enough sleep every night. This means going to bed at a reasonable time and avoiding screens right before bed. Getting enough sleep will help me do better in school, have more energy for exercise, and feel happier overall.

Goal 2: Limiting sugary drinks.

I want to cut back on sugary drinks that aren’t good for my health. Instead, I plan to drink more water, milk, or unsweetened drinks. Cutting back on sugar will help me stay healthier, have more energy, and protect my teeth. I also want to pay attention to how much sugar I’m consuming each day and make better choices for my body.

Goal 3: Staying active every day.

Even on busy days, I want to make sure I move my body. This could be walking, stretching, running, or doing quick exercises at home. Staying active every day helps my heart, muscles, and overall health.

Section 3 Family and Friends:

Goal 1: Spending quality time with my family.

Sometimes school and other activities keep me busy, but sometimes I want to spend more time with my family whether it be going to more places with my brother or going along with my mother on shopping trips.

Goal 2: Encouraging friends and family to reach their goals.

Just like I have my own goals, the people around me do too. I want to support them by cheering them on, giving them advice when needed and celebrating success with them.

Goal 3: Staying connected, even when I’m busy.

Everyone gets busy now and then, but I want to try to check in with my friends and family regularly. Even if it’s as small as sending a quick text, calling or spending a little time together.
