Chocolate, one of my favorite sweets, is made from a mixture of ingredients, but its flavor depends largely on the taste of the cocoa itself. Cocoa contains theobromine and theobromine, which give a pleasant bitter taste; The tannins in cocoa are slightly astringent, and cocoa butter produces a plump, smooth taste. Cocoa bitter, astringent, sour, cocoa butter smooth, with the aid of sugar or milk powder, milk fat, malt, lecithin, vanillin and other auxiliary materials, and through exquisite processing technology, make chocolate not only maintain the unique taste of cocoa and make it more harmonious, pleasant and delicious. Today, like my previous blog, I still want to make a chocolate food. Ultimately, I settled on this one: Ultra Chocolatey Double Chocolate Chip Cookies.I’m pretty sure you will love it if you like chocolate!
INGREDIENTS
- 100mL unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 120mL light brown sugar
- 75mL caster/superfine sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 75mL dark chocolate,(65 – 75% cocoa solids, melted and cooled)
- 200mL flour
- 20mL Dutch processed cocoa powder
- 5mL baking powder
- 2mL baking soda
- 2mL salt
- 100mL dark chocolate chips, chunks, wafers or chopped dark chocolate
STEPS
- Melt some dark chocolate and set aside to cool until warm.
- Beat together the melted and cooled butter, sugar and light brown sugar.
- Add an egg and an egg yolk, and mix some more.
- And the chocolate and give it a good mix.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients , and add them to the butter mixture.
- Mix it all together until you get a smooth, soft and slightly sticky cookie dough.
- Add in the chocolate chips.
- Wait for 15 – 20 minutes.
- Scoop the cookie dough with a spoon.
- Bake.
- At the 8 minute mark in the oven, take the baking sheet with the cookies out of the oven, bang it on the kitchen counter a couple of times and top the cookies with some more chocolate.
- Bake until done, banging the baking sheet once or twice more.
- Impatiently wait for the cookies to cool just enough so you don’t burn your tongue on the hot melted chocolate.
These double chocolate chip cookies is fudgy in the middle, crisp round the edges and delicious all over. They’re especially amazing still slightly warm. Don’y hesitate try it!
