My name is Kai and I am a high school student at Pinetree Secondary School. My favourite colour is red/pink and my favourite animal are goats. Some fun facts about me is that I have three brothers, am allergic to horses (found out the hard way) and have 35 degree scoliosis. My hobbies are drawing and listening to music. My goals in life are to live to the fullest, be open to new things and get a job in the medical field.

“Sometimes life is like this dark tunnel. You can’t always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you keep moving… you will come to a better place” – Uncle Iroh (ATLA)

This is my favourite quote and also the same one I used for my middle school year book quote. It is a quote from the beloved Uncle Iroh in the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, season two, episode twenty. The context of this quote is that Uncle Iroh is traveling through a tunnel with the main character, Aang, whom asks for advice and comfort after he had made a big game changing decision and Iroh says he doesn’t always know the answer and then he offers the quote.

I appreciate this quote because it is a great analogy. Life is like a dark tunnel, you can’t always see what lays onwards and the unknown may be frightening. You don’t know if farther in lies danger but you must keep moving by feeling for the vague walls because maybe, hopefully, you will find the light at the end of the tunnel.

 

This is my all time classic favourite video. It is a easy and simple recipe to make air fried potato wedges as the title suggests. The chef first hand picks the ingredients and then prepares the batch of sophisticated spices and herbs as batter for the delicately sliced potato wedges. The chef then safely secures the rich juices and flavours with the flaming heat of an air fryer. Lastly the chef gently plates the dish with a side of mysterious secret [redacted] grey sauce. The combination of the delectable and crisp potato carb and the silkiness of the [redacted] grey sauce dancing on your tongue is a match made in heaven, like a velvety symphony of angels that run shivers through every bone and nerve in your body. If the sheer craftmanship of this culinary masterpiece is not enough, the cherry on top is the video is backed by the catchiest tunes of the century. This is a great video and I am sure the 5.9 million other viewers would agree 100% with me.

This is an interesting photo of my friend’s car that exploded on his way home from a trip in Europe. This photo was taken in Kelowna and thankfully no one was harmed during the fire. My friend described that he had heard a hissing sound coming from within the car and then the hood started smoking his family exited the car and got their luggage out in time before the car set ablaze.

This website is a joke from the hit TV show “Breaking Bad”. The show follows the storyline of a chemistry teacher, Walter White, as he becomes a kingpin of the under ground illegal substance trade with his partner and former student, Jesse Pinkman. The context of this website is that Walter in the show gets diagnosed with lung cancer and “can’t” pay for chemo therapy because in his innocent chemistry teacher disguise is not financially stable so his loving son, Walter Jr, unknowing of his father’s true wealth, creates a fundraising website, a.k.a. “savewalterwhite.com”. Someone then transferred the website from the show to the real world wide web although you can not actually donate.
