1. Communication
-
- I listen to others well and speak when it is my turn. During science when we’d work on labs, I would listen to my partner’s thoughts, as well as contribute my own thoughts after she was done.
- I can find information when I need or want it and present it clearly. I had a food slideshow project on Zucchini and I needed to research all about the food. I used a bunch of websites to find information and used it in my presentation.
- I participate in group activities and do my share to achieve our goals. I had a recent English group project where all my group members and I contributed our ideas and thoughts to each other. We all aimed for proficient/extending, and succeded in our goal as a group.
- I can share my ideas and try to connect them with others’ ideas. My last final project for foods was to make a tea party. I shared my output and ideas and made sure it was something everyone was happy with.
2. Thinking
-
- I can establish goals and connect my learning to my goals, experiences and efforts. During the labs I had in foods class, I made goals for me and my team to get everything done within the time period. I used the teachings our teacher taught us and put it into the cooking labs to succefully do what I learned.
- I get ideas from other people’s ideas, my interests or my environment. Before a unit test I had in science, my friend gave me a great idea on a efficient way to study. I used her study method and exceeded a good mark on the test.
3. Personal and Social
-
- I can show others what I am good at and what I can be better at. When comparing my overall science marks and my overall english marks, there’s a a big gap between which subjuct I have a harder time on and the subject that I find more easier. I Don’t do as well in my english than I do in my science.
- I can celebrate my work and successes and ask for help when needed. In science, when I did pretty good in my chemisty test, I wen’t out to eat with my family to celebrate my good test result.
- I set goals and work towards reaching them. In science, I set a goal to do good in my biology test. I studied hard and practiceed till I was ready for the test.
- I know and protect basic rights that everyone should have.
GOAL SETTING
- My goal for semester two is to ask more clarifying questions during class and understand what I’m learning omre in depth. I would like to improve on participating more in class and having a more active voice when it comes to learning better.
