What is my assignment?

The assignment I have chosen to reflect on my creative fluency is the American Influence questions I did in my Social Studies 9 class. For this assignment, I had to answer a series of questions about the American influence to understand and get ready for upcoming tests.

Identify:

To identify what I wanted to succeed in, it was evident that my goal was to compose thorough and educated responses to get a good mark. The class had to get into small groups and have discussions on the questions and share our responses. A challenge I had to overcome was to speak clearly so my group could understand my thought process and answers.

Inspire:

Something that inspired me and fueled this assignment was, seeing how focused my peers were. Throughout the reading, we read many passages about the war of 1812 and how people back handled the robust situations; learning from their mistakes, we took account of what we would have done if we were in their place. This helped me stay engaged and urged me to work harder because I was given more context and could my imagination.

Interpolate:

This step helps back up and introduce the Inspire piece of my creative fluency. With this step, I recognized patterns in the textbook such as conflict, war and freedom. I used these patterns to help me understand what influenced the war of 1812 and the ratifications of the Treaty of Ghent.

Imagine:

The AHA! moment of this presentation was when I figured out how I would use my time wisely to maintain a good work habit and still learn at the same time. I decided to take notes while I wrote responses. I did this so I would have shorter facts to study later on and be prepared to participate. By how focused I was on this assignment, I knew I would get the mark I deserved, and all my hard work would pay off.

Inspect:

At this point, before concluding that I finished, I examined all of my responses and made sure that I was submitting my best work. I double-checked grammar and facts. At the end of the day, I not only educate myself, but I also came to a realization of how different things used to be resolved back then and the crazy laws that were put into place.
