NOAH’S EXTRAVAGENT DISHES

I decided on this dish because it was a new experience to make and also because it is diverse, at first I wanted to make it a theme where I would make Asian cuisine food but as I thought about it, I would like to expand and challenge myself to other cultural dishes. This dish originates from United states. Named after a doctor who studied nutrition in the 19th century, Dr. James Henry Salisbury. The most challenging thing for this dish was forming the patties as I never make patties myself, usually my family buys premade frozen patties. Also learning how to make the gravy sauce because this was something I’ve never tried making from scratch.

HOW TO MAKE SALISBURY STEAK WITH ONION GRAVY!

Slice onion | cut potatoes

Form ground beef into patties| Put patties on a med heat skillet 2 to 3 minutes on each side while boiling potatoes

In same skillet add onion, butter and flour, let it cook till golden brown.

After add one cup of beef broth and after sauce thickens up add in patties and let them cook for 25-30 minutes

Serve with mash potatoes on the side.

With all the flavors coming together getting the saltiness caramelized onion with the savory gravy makes a perfect match with the creamy potatoes making this a meal to reckon with!
