Everyone has a dream if they want to be successful in their life. Having goals and dreams helps you to be successful. When you have goals, you are working for something that increases focus, you have a reason why to work on something, which builds confidence, motivation, and momentum. So now, I will share my goals to take a step forward to my dream by myself.

 

The following goals are for my family and friends.

  • Firstly, lowering my voice tone helps me always stay calm, easing tension in conversations. Also, this can help defuse conflicts between my friends or family. I would like to achieve this goal because sometimes my voice gets loud.
  • Secondly, increasing compassion. I want to increase my compassion skills so that I can improve relationships and better conflict resolution. This is because I am bad at English, decreasing my compassion skills.
  • Lastly, being supportive is the most important thing to keep a healthy relationship with my friends. My friends, as we are close, sometimes step out of line; not being supportive of what friends should be doing. Since then, I just want to be a good friend to everyone.

The following goals are about education.

  • The goal I want to achieve is to reduce my break time. Every time I study, I give myself breaks about every 1 hour I study; the breaks are about 1 hour long, which I thought was too long. Reducing the break time will make an effective study routine.
  • The second goal of education I want to achieve is to not waste my free time. For every person, free time is given, even a little. However, for me, I have a lot of free time, but I am not using them effectively. For example, playing games, or watching YouTube, Netflix, etc. Instead, I would like to replace all the time with reading books or studying more!
  • Last one for education: stop putting my work off! Putting my work off and taking rests is one of my biggest problems. For example, every evening, since I get tired of the school basketball practice every day, I mostly just put off work and play games. I thought that kind of habit would grow bigger eventually, so this is the reason why I chose my last goal for education.

Finally, these are three goals for my health.

  • Firstly, I always get lazy about taking supplements, putting them off I should fix this habit. I could fix this habit by not being lazy, but how? This is how I will fix it using a habit-tracking application. Using those kinds of apps will be helpful to notice how I am postponing all my work.
  • Secondly, my sleep schedule right now is unhealthy currently. Sleeping at about 1 a.m. and waking up late ignoring the regular plans–but waking up by my mom’s call. I personally felt that this was unhealthy because every day, I felt tired, leading me to start unfocused at school.
  • Lastly, this is important: I need to lose some fat. My belly fat, chin fat, etc. These days, I feel like I am getting lonely without having a girlfriend while every other does, which I mostly felt that it is because of the fats. This is the reason why.

Setting goals helped me with what I am supposed to do this year, hopefully, I have achieved most of them at the end of this year. Thank you!
