For this Linking Assignment I was able to analyze both my peers annotated bibliography and shoe design assignment. Straight off the bat we had a connection with choosing to design a shoe instead of improv or a playlist. I also found that wth the sneaker reflection we both would rather choose living in Athens because it seems more educational and less physically harsh than Sparta. It was interesting to hear that my peer found presenting the easiest part of the sneaker assignment, and designing the shoe the hardest part. I found presenting one of the easiest parts as well, as I am a strong speaker but I got to learn that making a depiction of a 3D Spartan shoe would be difficult for anyone, even for my peer. His annotated bibliography looked visually appealing and simple to read. His sources are reliable, and I really enjoyed  that his information had a variation  of the different aspects of the Ancient Chinese Civilization. One website would talk about art and architecture, while another YouTube video talked about the ancient Classical Chinese language.

My classmate used a website called jstor.org, where all information has been peer reviewed and edited. He was very confident in the reliability of this source, using it as one of his primary sources. For further research opportunities I will now take jstor.org into consideration. In my peers annotated bibliography I learned that Japan had called for a war between China during World War 2. I had no clue that Japan had a war with China during a world war, which caused even more inflation in China. With the invasion of Japan, China had a shortage of food, man power, money and trading goods causing people to starve. It was also interesting to know who the first leader of China was and what he had done for China. Qin Shi Huang was the first emperor for China, he was a great leader for China as he stopped China’s 550 year long turmoil and brought overall unity to the whole country. It was very informative to learn about the Classical Chinese language that was used during the ancient times.Regarding the shoe design assignment, I found more connections with my classmates shoe design project than the  annotated bibliography. For our shoe assignment we both chose red for Sparta and blue for Athens. I noticed we both put a metal spike on the ends of our Spartan shoe for battle purposes. I also noticed that my peers Sparta shoe had more traction than the Athenian shoe, similar to how I put metal spikes for my Sparta shoe and more of a croc bottom for my Athenian shoe. However I only used 2D models for my shoes, my peer made a 3D model for his Spartan shoe. I found that very unique and creative, it must have been difficult and time consuming constructing the paper shoe all together so it can stand on its own. If I were to have more time to complete the shoe design assignment I would possibly try attempt to make a 3D version of my own design next time.
