Introduction
For my power technology class this semester we had to make and design CO2 racecars.
Identify
In this assignment, I needed to start by making rough sketches of car designs I liked. Then I had to make my final copies using the exact measurements so I was able to trace it on the wood. I would then cut my car out using the machines and sand it. The last step was to decorate my car with spray and acrylic paint. Using the machines may be a challenge for me ahead.
Inspire
I did not know exactly what a CO2 racecar looked like while starting this project so I did some research for ideas.
The flames on this car really appealed to me so I decided to add flames on my car. I had also seen a black car with flames and used that idea as well.
Interpolate
The flames on this car really appealed to me but I did not love the colors. I decided to use the flames from this car and put it at the end of my car. From flames, I thought of a meteor shooting from the front which I also incorporated. With these 2 ideas, I decided to make my car an hourglass shape.
Imagine
I do not have a picture of my project because it is not completed yet. It looks like how I described above. My Aha moment came while my care was done and I thought it could use some improvements. The center could be skinner and I decided to cut out some designs for flames in the back.
Inspect
I checked if my car fit the correct measurements it should fit. I reflected on this project by thinking about how to use the machines I learned how to use so it will help me use them in future courses.
