What is my assignment?

in grade 9 tach ed we were asked to build a Co2 car using only wood.

Identify

this assignment required lots of planning and drawing sketches of our car. But the most challenging part was cutting the car to the shape that we draw and making it look good while keeping it light so it could win in the race.

Inspire:

to gather the information I went through Youtube and looked at how other people made Co2 cars and what are things i can do to make my car faster than others, I also look at a lot of tutorials on cutting wood with a band saw

Interpolate:

I looked at many videos and the main advice they gave for making the car faster was to make it air dynamic there were also a lot of people saying that the car should be light.  and for the design, most people said that the best way to cut the wood neatly with a band saw is to do some practice cuts before you get to the actual cut.

 

Imagine:

Watching all that video made me think about how can make a car that is aerodynamic, light, and looks awesome. so I thought why not make a Redbull race car, i can make it aerodynamic and at the end add some cool Redbull stickers to it to make it look like a race car

Inspect:

at the end of the project, the car came out to be a little bit different than what I was expecting, mainly because of the color, but the thing that made me really happy was at the race day my car became second among 33 cars, even thou mine was not the lightests
