For this years 2024 Spirit Assembly I was apart of the secruity crew. In my role, I pariticpated in directing where students needed to sit, while answering questions, putting up signs around the school and in the gym, and directing students in and out of the assembly in a well coordinated manner! One of the themes from the curricular competencies that I have related to from this whole experience is Self-awareness and Personal Leadership. While directing people in the gym I had to make myself visible by using my voice and made sure each of them were going to go sit in their designated section. When the students were leaving the gym I stationed myself by the hill since I noticed many students trying to take a short-cut and cut through the garden instead of using the pavement and stairs. By doing this shows my decision-making skills. In summary, the Spirit Assembly was a total success and I can’t wait to be apart of more events this year!
