Reflection 1

This is a cartoon/comic project I worked on in socials class last quarter. The whole project was based on the Canadian Confederation and students had to make a comic on four types of factors in confederation: External factors, internal factors, conferences, and rebellions. This page was the comic I drew for the external factors of confederation. The front of the paper was the drawings, and the back of the paper was the detailed information in point form.

This project was overall one of the most time-consuming work I’ve done in socials class. It took me nearly a week to complete finalizing and coloring everything. I worked especially hard on this project as I knew it would contribute significantly to my final mark. I am also pleased with the visual of my project, chiefly how I laminated the paper.

A challenge I faced during this project was being satisfied with my work. I can remark I’ve started over at least twice for my drawings. Instead of focusing on the drawings for my third attempt, I decided to concentrate on the information and the captions of my drawings.

If I could redo this project in the future, I wouldn’t change the majority of this project as I am fairly proud. I could potentially add a few more colors to stand the drawings out and write neater.
