I was given an opportunity to be part of the Environmental Club’s fundraiser and it was amazing! I helped plan what could be served and who would do what for each of the two days that the fundraiser would run, and serving the delicious treats to the students. During the fundraiser, we encountered a problem where people were trying to pay where the food was being served, and to avoid this because it was unsanitary for us to touch money and serve food, I proposed an idea. Instead of allowing everyone to crowd around the table, the idea was to get students to form a line starting at the money box, and go right or left to get their treats once they payed first. This really helped us run smooth and efficiently. Bringing in the skills I learned from leadership, I was able to help organize the event and to collaborate with other environmentalist to run a successful first day of the fundraiser!
