Reflection 1 – My goals for this year

Family and Friends:

  • My first goal for family and friends is to go out more often and spend more time with people. I usually like to stay home in my room and not do much, and I feel like my family and my friends would appreciate if I went out more often. I could try to go out at least once a day and ask my friends to hangout more often. I feel like this goal would also improve my mental health
  • My next goal is to help out in my household more often, things like preparing dinner and cleaning up. Doing this could help my parents out and it would also make me less lazy. I could start by asking my mom or dad if they needed help with anything every now and then. This goal would make me be more productive and also give my parents a hand.
  • My last goal for this category is to make new friends. Since I just got into high school I think it would be god to keep my old friends but also make new ones since I’m not in classes with all my old friends. It’s also just nice knowing people and having someone to talk to in each class. This goal can also help me with self confidence because it can be stressful talking to someone you don’t know.

Education:

  • My first goal for education to get better at managing my time and procrastinating less. I can set reminders and alarms for when I should be doing homework and when things are due. I don’t want to save all my work for last minute and be very stressed out to get it all done in one night. This will help me do better in school and learn how to use my time efficiently.
  • My next goal is to ask questions whens’m not sure about things. Sometimes it’s hard to ask questions about homework but if I don’t, I won’t understand what I’m doing and I will get a bad mark. I can start by asking a friend and if they can’t help me, I could go ask the teacher even if I don’t want to because it would just end up giving me a better grade if I understand the assignment better.
  • My last goal for education is being better at organization. I like to misplace things a lot and I end up loosing a bunch of my homework, pencils, and a bunch of other stuff. Same with online files, so if I just have a special spot for different things I think that would help, maybe writing down all my assignments so I can keep track with them so I don’t loose them. For things like pencils I can just try to put the things I used back where I got it from and not just randomly place it somewhere. This goal would also help me with doing better in school.

Health:

  • My first goal for health is to eat cleaner. I would like to eat healthier by searching up healthy recipe’s on google and going out to buy the ingredients and making it at home. I need to eat out less because it’s not healthy and it would also save me some money. I can plan my meals ahead of time and find inspiration on google. This goal will save me some money and also help me be healthier.
  • My second goal for health is to go on more walks. I feel like going on walks would make me more motivated to accomplish my goals and get some exercise. Going on walks can also improve my mental health, not only physical health. I can go on more walks by setting reminders and try to go on one a few times a week. I could also invite a friend with me as it would also help me accomplish my earlier goals.
  • My last goal for health is to get a better sleep schedule. I want to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. By doing that I can be more motivated to do other things and I can show up to school. on time, it will also put me in a better mood if I get enough sleep. I can set alarms in the morning to wake up and if I’m not tired at night I can just take some melatonin to help me get tired. With a better sleep schedule accomplishing my goals would be much easier.
