My assignment

For English 9, I was a assigned to create a diary with around five entries, using the events of the novel and writing it in the prospective of a character that was involved.

Identify

I was able to set my own criteria for this diary with only some instructions from the teacher. However I’ve talked to my classmates for a better judgment.

1. Includes big events, with how the characters that your weighting as may see them.

2. Write as one character have at least five entries

So I’ve decided to make each entries in a separate word page and include all five in a word document

Inspire

For some inspection to get me started on my project I googled examples of a normal diary.
I came across many colourful diaries with pictures and stickers in them.

However I ended up liking how just a plain diary looked. I wanted mine to like some what like “The Diary of A Wimpy Kid” as if it could actually be published like a novel would.

Interpolate

I see how diaries are, and some similarities that I’ve noticed are how the dates and the feelings of the character have always made a huge part of the diaries. Seeing another’s thoughts and emotions made the diary interesting.

Imagine

Starting the assignments, I found all the events to the character that I could write with and narrowed them down to the most important 6.

Once I made my big ideas, I could start making them detailed and express how the character may feel about what had happened, although there were not many information on what time things happened, I tried to include and that I could find.

Inspect

After I’ve written the Diary, I asked a few of my family to read over and see if I was missing anything. I checked my first two criteria and they were both complete. Some thing that I could of done better going forward may be,

  1. Give more time to myself, when given a project it best to start on the day I received it than trying to finish at the last moment.
  2. I could use the teacher’s advice too, I think I should of asked for more instructions at the start of this project.
