My plan for Screen Time

This is my plan for screen time:

Health: I will focus on my health for at least 7 or more hours per week, this includes daily exercise, healthy foods like foods with high protein and vegetables, enough sleep (7-10 hours of sleep per night), and less phone no going on phone right in the morning or at night.

Education: Education is important and I’ll focus on my education for about 3-6 hours per week, this includes completing homework, studying, and finishing any assignments that need to be done.

Social bonds: Social bonds can be fun and I’ll try and focus on this for around 1-4 hours per week. Some things I could do are hangout with friends, I could play soccer with them, go to the gym or go somewhere else with them. Another social bond is spending time with family, if my week isn’t as busy and I have some free time I’ll try and spend it towards social bonds with my family. Maybe we watch a movie or go on a walk.

Stopping rules

School: I will turn my phone on silent once in class, so I don’t hear any messages or notifications. Another one I can do is put my device or phone into my bag so I can’t see it and theres no temptation of going on it in class.

Home: At home I can put my phone away at least half an hour before I go to bed or when doing work for school, so that I don’t go on it and be distracted. I can also consider maybe putting a screen limit for one of my devices just so that I don’t get carried away spending too much time on it when I’m free or busy.

Vision Board DESCRIPTION

My Vision Board contains images and key words from the topics of health, education, relationships, and happiness. Health: My goals for this is to do other sports such as biking and golfing which I’ve done (but not as often). Read more, I want to read more often when I have free time, its healthy because it improves focus and memory. Wake up early everyday and get a good amount of rest every night between 7-10 hours of rest and wake up before 7:00. Education: Always complete homework, study often (have good time management), and join at least 1 club at pinetree next year. Relationships: Hanging out with friends often such as playing soccer with them or going somewhere. Spend time with family more frequently, and making more friends. Happiness: Things I like to do like play soccer, listen to music and work out in the weight room.

My goals

Family and friends: 1. My goal for family is to help prepare food more often. I oftenly help with dishes and setting the table as well as clean up. To be more specific, one night a week I would like to help make some of the food for dinner. I have learned to cook and now I want to do some cooking. I will do this by helping prepare (getting the ingredients, and or even making a part of the dinner, even if its something small like a salad). This is a goal because i would like to be even more helpful on some days, and I want to try to achieve this because I have learned how to cook some recipes and I want to try them out.  2. My goal for friends is to try to arrive to school earlier, this is because some of my friends meet a bit before school, and if i arrive there and see them then i can chat with them a bit before class starts. I want to achieve this goal because I want to even have more time to bond with them even though I see them in some classes, at lunch, and outside of school. I will try to achieve this goal by getting to school a bit earlier (10 minutes earlier than I do get there) on most days of the week so that I’ll see them. 3. My final goal for this section is another one for family, this goal is a bit harder to achieve but what I want to do is actually spend more time with them, because of school, and soccer I don’t have a lot of spare time that can go toward quality time with my family (including my brothers) it could be as simple as going on a walk on a Sunday. And i will try to achieve this goal where I get most of my homework finished up, and if they have the time to do so then it would be great to have maybe 1 time in a week where we get together.

Education: 1. Education is a key part to success, and with a good education it can lead to a good future. What my goal is for this is to spend a little extra time reviewing my work, or checking teams, or even just looking through my emails more often to see if i have anything in my inbox, school related. I want to try a bit harder where by I get my assignments completed faster but also efficiently. I will try to achieve this goal by spending some extra time from 10 minutes to and hour, reviewing, looking over, checking my work, and assignments. Just to get me a bit more efficient for the upcoming year. I want to achieve this goal so that I’m more prepared for grade 10, and that I’ll have a good year. 2. My second goal is to read more, education also involves reading, so how I’m going to try and achieve this goal is to spend about 10 minutes on a couple nights in a week to sit down and read a book. Books are good, and help you to be more relaxed and by doing this ill be more calm. I used to read more before , but now with a tighter schedule not as much. I will try and read even if its just a couple pages every night. 3. For my third goal for education I want to put it towards studying. I study a decent amount for upcoming testa etc. But what I want to do is taking less breaks. I used to take about 2 breaks in an hour of studying, and to achieve this goal I want to increase my studying time, and reduce my break time. I will try to achieve this goal by having about 5 mins break time instead of 10, and in a short amount of time I can clear my head a bit, maybe eat a snack and drink water. I want to achieve this goal, to make me more comfortable studying, and not taking as many breaks to help me.

Health: My last topic is health and my first goals is 1. Stretching more: although i exercise a lot and is continuously active, I need to stretch more. It’s a good habit, its a good way to recover, and reduce muscle soreness and pain. I will try and achieve this goal by stretching 5-10 mins before bed, this will help. I want to achieve this goal because I will generally have less muscle pain and my joints will feel better when I get up. 2. My second goal for this topic is hydrating more. Water is the best type of hydration and I think i can do a better job of hydrating. I usually bring a full bottle of water to school and finish it. When I get home though I don’t drink as much as I think I need. I think i can achieve this goal by trying to finish my water bottle at school and filling it up again, so that I’m not dehydrated at any time. I want to achieve this goal because it will make me feel better, and is good to not get headaches. 3. My last goal for health is eating more balanced diet: I want a more balanced diet, and overall eat more. I eat pretty healthy in a week but sometimes I need more snacks or a better balanced diet. I think a balanced diet has 2 main components, 1: time, 2: calories. This depends on what times in the day you are eating at, and personally the biggest time is either breakfast or lunch. Occasionally I’ll eat cereal, or toast for breakfast, and the odd time an egg. And for lunch (tip take for school) I’ll make my self a sandwich that usually contains basic foods like ham, cheese or cucumber in it. I want to achieve my goal “a balanced diet” by eating more and at the right time. So maybe it like how i mentioned in my first goal of family, helping make more. I want to consume things with higher calories or protein, such as chicken, steak, egg etc. I want to achieve this by eating more and at correct times in the day (morning 7:50, afternoon, school, and at dinner usually 5-9 o’clock at night. A balanced diet includes not just meats but vegetables and fruits. So packing more fruit in my bag is helpful.

Those are my goals, I will try my best to achieve all of these to the best of my ability and focus on them.
