INS 20, Convert Events into a Sonnet

Independent Novel Study Assignment #20

The events of ‘The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon’ as a sonnet (Shakespeare style)…

Let her compare you to deaf squids.
You are more lonely, family and foggy.
Fights whip the imaginary belts she forbids,
And her brother has the mind groggy.

Why does she wander? Should she count the days?
Becoming more lost, trees and fog,
Has she grown tired of the mist and haze?
If only she avoided the hill's log...

My vast forest, you inspire her to venture.
She hates the way you hunger and thirst,
Invading her mind day and night as a gesture,
Always imagining who I rehearse.
A grand beast with large teeth and no heart,
Use his self-defense before she is torn apart.
