INS 22, Changing the Setting

Independent Novel Study Assignment #22

Changing the protagonist/antagonist’s setting and explaining the effects…

If the forest were rather a desert...

Trisha would have a much harder time becoming lost. Though, she could have fallen down the wrong side of a hill or into a ditch. Either way, she becomes lost without any sign of hope. The desert has much less opportunity for life than the forest as there is a lack of wildlife and greenery. Water would be grim and a severe lack of food would leave Trisha with a slim chance of surviving, especially for 9 days. Although, the chance of her being found before the 9 day mark would be much higher as there are no trees to shield her from the helicopters and search parties.
