These are my short-term goals for the following categories: Family and friends, education, and health.

a) Family and friends

  1. I would like to make more friends this year by getting to know my peers around me.
  2. I would like to spend more time with my family by watching a movie, playing games together, etc.
  3. I would like to spend more time with my current friends by texting/calling them, and asking to hang out.

These are my goals because, in Grade 9, I want to meet more people and socialize more, and also still catch up with my old friends from middle school.

b) Education

  1. My goal is to get at least A+ or A for my grades, and I will do that by taking extra time to complete my homework, study at home if I can, and spend more time revising for exams.
  2. At the end of the semester, my goal is to be fluent in my Japanese class and to be able to have a conversation with someone in Japanese. I can do this by putting more effort into remembering words and doing everything the teacher says.
  3. I also want to work on avoiding procrastinating doing my homework by telling myself that it is better to get it over with than to do it at the last second.

I chose these goals because I think they would help me excel in academics and help me improve overall.

c) Health

  1. I aim to wash my face every morning, as I sometimes forget.
  2. After staring at a screen for long periods of time, I want to take small intervals in between to rest my eyes. I can do this by setting a timer.
  3. Lastly, I want to eat a balanced and healthy diet to make myself stronger and maybe gain some weight.

I think these goals will help myself physically as they all involve physical elements.
