Portrayed in this illustration is a large, fading, and thick forest. As emphasized in the center, a handwritten word encases a small portion of the forest, illuminating Trisha walking. I chose this design as I wanted to bring out how small the 9-year-old Trisha is in comparison to the miles-wide forest. The author chooses to highlight that the protagonist looks older than her age, but I decided to use her truly tiny size in comparison to the gaping woods.
