INS 15, Best Part of the Novel

The Best Part of the Novel ‘The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon’….

My absolute favourite part of this book is nearing the end where Trisha faces the treacherous beast called the Wendigo. Not only I find the mythical monster interesting, but the entire encounter raises many questions about the story. I do feel as if it was a little out of place, maybe too literal for the vague and mysterious energy of the book. Stephen king exaggeratedly described the Wendigo in a way that keeps you imaginative yet curious. Descriptions of bees, bears, sounds, and odd lack of reaction from the young Trisha. She undoubtfully bests the creature with help from a brave stranger. The theme of the book becomes clear; "Be wary of the forest, there may be unexplainable encounters within".
