Linking Assignment #1

Caiden was the optimal choice when starting off with the first linking assignment. When the teacher announced us to pick our assignment partner I chose Caiden as even before this class, we’ve known each for a long time. We both went to the same elementary school and had some classes together. Since I knew him, it was more comfortable for me to share the experiences that the contents in my bag represented. After a brief introduction we began to look at each other’s posts. By looking at the outline of his website, it shows how organized his webpage is. Everything was easy to locate and everything was well categorized that it was easy to find what I was looking for. Besides the webpage itself, the post was also very organized. The what’s in his bag assignment was well organized and each answers following the questions were well categorized. Also, the answers to the questions were short and simplistic which helped to analyze his post faster but also accurately. Whilst his content was short, mine was long however the formatting was the same. He used a simple format of questions than answers (which was easy to the eyes) whereas in my post I also used a question to answer format as it helped me organize my thoughts. Overall, his post was clear, concise and well organized enough that someone who is not technologically knowledgeable is able to understand and analyze his post with ease.

The what’s in the bag assignment was an assignment detailing and explaining the various objects in the person’s bag and how they relate towards a developing society. Caiden’s “what in his bag assignment” utilized all his objects to answer the various questions the followed with the assignment. Whilst looking through the image, I’ve noticed something unique about his collection. My partner enjoyed sports and playing sports (as seen from the various sports merchandise founded in the image). From the picture I was able to grasp an image to what his answers to the questions were going to be about. After reading and analyzing the questions, I found out that his sports merchandise did in fact reflect his passions for the sports. His water bottle and lunch box also reflected that he enjoys extracurriculars/sports. His lunch box is important for his passion as it contains an energy source, food and the water bottle reflects the same reason as his lunch box, energy and hydration. Besides his sports merchandise, bottle and lunch box, my partner also has a binder, phone, and laptop. His phone and laptop indicate that technology is more preferred and his singular binders tell us how the world is shifting away from paper. Also, the singular binder represents that my partner is organized but also that his classes uses technology more than writing. In compression to my image, in which I appear to have more paper, as my classes are more writing oriented. Besides those differences, the rest of our assignment is the same, such as we both have copied and pasted the questions and answered them separately. After looking through his assignment, I noticed that everyone has their preference on what is important to them and for their future.
