1. What are the three most important qualities of a leader? Explain your choices.

  • Communication: Leaders are competent communicators who can communicate in numerous ways, from sharing details to uplifting others. The quality and effectiveness of communication among leaders also impact the success of a project or event. So, leaders must be able to listen to and communicate with a wide range of diverse people.
  • Self-Awareness: Self-awareness is an essential quality for a leader to attain. The better you understand yourself and identify your strengths and weaknesses, the stronger of a leader you will be.
  • Respect: Treating individuals with respect on an everyday basis is one of the most influential things a leader can do. It will relieve tensions and conflict, build trust, and improve effectiveness. Respect can be shown in several ways, but it often forms by merely being a good listener who truly strives to apprehend the viewpoints of others.

2. What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about helping others. Ever since I was little, I have been passionate about helping people. No matter what I am doing at the moment, I am always ready to put it on hold for the person in need. If a classmate needs support with a homework problem, I will gladly clarify the problem to help them better understand it.

3. What are your strengths, and how can we utilize them?
My strengths include being flexible, a problem solver, and detail-oriented. My strengths can be utilized in discussions when planning events because I am open to new ideas, can come up with alternate solutions if something does not work out and can produce the best possible solution or idea with all factors included.

4. What does success at the end of the year look like to you?
Success, at the end of the year for me personally, is knowing that I really got out of my comfort zone to perform several tasks and to grow and learn from failures along the way.

5. What is one BIG question you have for this year?
One BIG question I have for myself this year is, “What haven’t I taken the time to learn about?”

Thank you, Mishaal. Leadership is such a good vehicle for helping others, which makes this course a good choice for you. Through the events you’ve worked on, you’ve helped the school and students already. Thank you for your good work.
I LOVE your One Big Question! When students (and teachers) are so busy, they don’t get time to reflect upon what they haven’t got time to learn about.
