Summary:

I chose this person’s post because it was asked that we find someone in the class that we did not know and sat on the opposite side of the room. My content is very similar to my peer’s, from the Social Justice Bingo assignment to choosing a woman activist for the quote assignment. My classmate has detailed definitions, while the colours contrast each other nicely. The work displayed is well organized and neatly formatted so the information can be found easily. This classmate’s learning style is similar to mine in formatting, creativity, thinking, and detail in assignments.

Reflection:

After looking at my classmate’s work, I recognized both similarities and differences in our approaches to assignments. While we both demonstrated artistic ability in our presentations, we utilized different formats. Our analysis of topics also differed based on our learning styles. While I maintained my opinions, I recognized the value of my classmate’s arguments. We both had bullet point notes in the “Notes for articles and videos” assignment. They found “Social justice miseducation in our schools” had the better argument, while I found “St. Louis teachers turn their classrooms into hubs of social justice” more convincing. Reflecting on our different perspectives, I realized our analysis of topics differed based on our learning styles. I also noticed that they evaluate presentation first, while I prioritize information quality. Despite these differences, I appreciated gaining a new perspective and recognizing the value in my classmate’s work.
