As I had mentioned in my reflection paragraph, my main goals were to become more outgoing, learn to take the initiative, and actually have an impact on the events that I participate in. Up to the mid way point, I noticed that I was surprisingly successful in achieving my goals. At the start of the year, I was extremely shy and would hesitate to volunteer for events. I could not contribute ideas during group discussions because I lacked confidence in them. However, as time passed, I slowly became more comfortable with my role as a leader, and began to volunteer without constantly second guessing myself. I would take on more impactful roles, such as the camera man for the Talent Show, and started talking more in group discussions. The leadership environment forced me to push myself out of my comfort zone and helped me develop into a significantly better leader than I had been at the start of the semester.
