Terry Fox Run

  • In the Terry Fox Run, I helped with the initial setup of tables, snacks and drinks. I also guided the students when they were coming back and cheered loudly for them. I handed out snacks, walked around with a garbage bag for students with trash, and stayed afterwards to help pick up any remaining garbage.

Orange Shirt Day

  • For this event, I was unfortunately not able to contribute much due to the assembly being canceled. However, I showed up every time when the point person asked us to help us make the pins, helped the other leadership students who were having trouble with making the pins, and spread word about the event to my peers.

Meet the Teacher Night

  • For Meet the Teacher Night, my friend Daniel and I were in charge of making sure parents were not parking in the staff parking lot. We informed parents where they could park, and after no more parents were coming, we helped out in directing them around the school. We were able to make use of our second language, Korean, to help out a lot of parents.

Remembrance Day

  • For this event, I came early in the morning with appropriate formal wear to help set up the gym. I set up chairs for teachers and students, helped with crowd control once the assembly began and handed out poppies to students who did not have one. I also managed the doors during the assembly to ensure no one came in midway and helped with clean up afterwards.

Pinetree’s 25th Anniversary

  • For Pinetree’s 25th Anniversary event, I along with two others were tasked with a room where we held a Pinetree facts quiz for visitors. We welcomed visitors, answered any questions they had, and challenged them to participate in the quiz. I also helped clean up after by picking up garbage, and rearranging the desks and chairs back to how they originally were.

Spirit Week

  • I participated in Twin Day, Formal Day, Pajama Day, and Grade Colour Day, which is four out of the five events during spirit week. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide a picture for Twin Day, as my twin, Daniel and I forgot to take a picture, so I understand if it cannot be counted.

Pinetree’s Talent Show

  • Pinetree’s Talent Show was extremely fun. I volunteered as a camera man, and was tasked with filming the entire show. I listened to the instructions of the point person coordinating this event, and suggested ways to make the camera work better. I also helped with a small portion of set up before the show. Overall, the whole event went very smoothly, and the video of the talent show also came out very well. At the end of the event, I stayed behind to help clean up the equipment that was used.

Grade 10 Day

  • My role in this event was to guide the grade 10 students with the last names A-L into a line. This event went extremely smoothly, and there were no majour flaws. Once there were not that many students remaining, I went to help out in handing out the chips, drinks and ice cream.
