For a final grade in Leadership 12, I believe an 86-88 would be a fair mark. Although I was unable to accomplish my midterm goal of becoming point person, as I did not realize how few events were left, I feel that my contributions and growth throughout the course reflect an 86-88. In terms of participation, I was consistently involved through the second half of the year. I would force myself to suggest ideas in group discussions and help plan events. A clear example of this was during the grade 11 trivia, where I came up with the idea of making the event a group trivia instead of a one on one, as that would be extremely time consuming. I would always be at meetings on time, and would effectively communicate with Leadership teachers if anything ever came up. During the many events I participated in, I would always try to go beyond just my assigned role. I would ask teachers and point people what else I could do to contribute to the event when finished with my tasks. I have grown as a leader in this course, and improved my communication and collaborative skills significantly. I was able to learn how to take initiative whenever a problem arises and have overcome countless challenges throughout Leadership 12, which is why I feel I deserve an 86-88.
